Investigation Underway After Drive-By Shooting in Fuquay-Varina
FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WTVD) — Fuquay-Varina police officers are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a man on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred in the 400 block of McLean Street. Officers responded around 7:40 p.m. and found a man with gunshot wounds to his lower body.
The man was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.
Police reported that the victim was a passenger in a car with two others. As their vehicle stopped between two houses, a large SUV or truck approached and someone fired multiple shots into their vehicle.
The suspect vehicle then sped away. No further details about the suspect(s) are available.
Police stated that it appears to be an isolated incident.
