Manayunk Woman Reports Intruder in Her Home

Philadelphia police report that a woman from Manayunk woke up to find a man exposing himself in her home. The victim believes this man had been following her on the street shortly before the incident.

On Tuesday, investigators released video of the suspect as they continue their search.

The 20-year-old victim told police that she and another person were walking near Cresson and Grape streets around 1:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day. An unknown man began to follow them closely.

Feeling uncomfortable, the victim and her companion quickly entered their home.

The victim fell asleep on the living room sofa. She woke up around 1:55 a.m. to find a man standing over her, indecently exposing himself.

She shouted at him to leave, and he did. After he left, the woman discovered that her purse had been moved, its contents dumped on the floor, and $20 was missing.

The victim believes the man in her home was the same man who had followed her earlier that evening.

Police stated that the person the victim was walking with was on the second floor of the home during the break-in and did not see the man.
