Raleigh Police Search for Two Individuals After Traffic Stop Incident

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — Raleigh Police are looking for two people after a driver fled during an attempted traffic stop on Tuesday.

Officers attempted to stop a car at 1:08 p.m. on New Bern Avenue near Corporation Parkway. As officers approached the vehicle, a passenger exited, fired a shot, dropped the weapon, and ran into nearby woods.

The driver of the car, a white 2018 Honda Accord, then sped away. Officers informed ABC11 that the vehicle was not stolen, and they have an idea of the suspects’ identities.

No injuries were reported.

Raleigh Police Department stated that as of 2:30 p.m., the scene was cleared, but no arrests had been made.

Residents are encouraged to stay alert and contact law enforcement if they observe any suspicious activity.
