LOS ANGELES – A U-Haul truck drove into a crowd of demonstrators in the Westwood area of Los Angeles. The incident was captured in a shocking video shared on social media.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a call about the crash. This occurred near the Federal Building at around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 11.

The video, posted by @Shangoolans, shows the U-Haul truck hitting people who were waving Iranian flags. Screams can be heard in the background as people ran for safety. Some individuals attempted to hit the truck with flag poles.

According to FOX 11’s Matthew Seedorff, at least one person was injured in the incident. The LAPD later announced that the driver had been detained.
