Warren Armstrong Signs Off from Live at Eleven

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Longtime ABC30 anchor Warren Armstrong has signed off from his final Live at Eleven broadcast ahead of his retirement in the fall. He will continue to anchor Live at Five and Live at Six through November 2026.

Armstrong announced plans to reduce his schedule last year, after more than four decades in broadcasting.

“I want to thank all of you who have stayed up late every night to watch [Live at Eleven],” he said Friday night.

A native of Wooster, Ohio, Armstrong graduated from Ashland College (now Ashland University). He began anchoring and reporting for WRDL-TV/FM. His career included WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio/Wheeling, West Virginia; KJEO-TV in Fresno; and KTXL-TV in Sacramento before returning to Fresno to join the Action News team in 2000.

Armstrong has earned 11 Emmy Awards, two RTNDA Awards, and an Edward R. Murrow Award. His reporting has taken viewers from Fresno City Hall to the White House, and from the Sierra to the 38th Parallel in Korea.
